ABOUT US

Roxy and Liana

Roxy and Liana were born and raised in the Philippines, daughters to a Dutch father and Filipina mother.

Roxy would collect pebbles and keep them in drawers, leaves and flowers stuffed into books and shapes of candle wax in pots. She was visited by elves who clung to her crayon printed pajamas. Her favorite spot was a branch in the backyard.

Liana touched everything; her sleeves were deep with proof of the world she couldn’t resist. She had fairies for pen pals who adorned her with gifts. Her favorite spot was hidden safe under her mother’s dress.

With their mother’s guidance their common playtime was painting. It was a tradition that started very early on and one that would stay with them years later, continents apart.

In 1999 Roxy flew the nest and moved to Montreal. She studied at Concordia University in Communications and Marketing. Upon graduation she landed a job with one of the largest film post-production companies in the world where she worked her way up to Manager of Operations, launching three different departments. *conveniently placed link to profile here

In 2004 Liana also moved to Montreal to attend University, studying Marketing at the Johns Molson School of Business.

Both sisters lived happily together consuming surprising amounts of yogurt and peanut butter. On Halloween weekend of 2005 they brought home their very own little monster, a cockapoo named Kobus. You’ll see him pop up frequently in photos, attempting at all costs to steal the limelight.

In 2008, Liana moved to Amsterdam where she currently resides. Her first job was for a Marketing firm Amsterdam Worldwide (formerly known in Marketing circles as Strawberry Frog.) It was with this firm that she helped build an award winning promotional campaign for ASICS. She has since moved on to do her Masters in Business at the University of Amsterdam, which she is expected to complete in the Fall of 2010.

With Roxy now in Toronto and Liana in Amsterdam, both sisters daydream of living in the same city again, combining forces to build something really fantastic. In the meantime they’ve created this scrapbook to house pretty little reminders of life’s finer moments.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Come, see, stay a while, and enjoy.
